Validation & Verification Papers

Welcome to the Validation Center

Validation is the heart of modeling and simulation. It determines the value and usability of the respective modeling and simulation results. Inspite of the central role of validation and verification (V&V) in simulation in general, methodologies, techniques and procedures as well as the theoretical background of V&V are far from a consistent interpretation. What is the role of V&V? Which methods or techniques should be applied in what typ of simulations? What is the value of a specific validation technique?

These questions are best tackled through knowledge, information and interdisciplinary discussion and exchange of experience and thoughts to shape and sharpen the use of validation in modeling and simulation.

Therefore, Savannah Simulations provides a collection of informative validation papers and the Validation and Verification Forum as an open discussion platform to enhance the use and understanding of simulation, based on V&V.

Visit the Validation and Verification Forum >>

What are the preferred validation methods in the domain? What are the problems and difficulties in applying theser methods properly? Is there a "best of" list in validation? - The Validation Forum is intended to discuss these and other questions among practitioners. >>
